I can’t recall a time in my life where being a ma wasn’t on the forefront of my mind. I have always been consumed by motherhood and now that I’m in it, I’m often consumed by all the ways I find myself falling short.
My biggest accomplishment over the COVID months was writing my first book “Ordinary Miracles ~ Life After Loss” a memoir of our journey written to help the widowed community to find the strength to love themselves and remember how important they are.
Through the course of my life so far I have navigated through some extremely challenging changes and through these experiences I learned just how important it is to NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.
When I was at Sickkids Hospital receiving treatment a nice custodian gifted me with a pack of stickers. This random act of kindness sparked the idea for our Love Boxes.
My women’s empowerment business that I started in 2000, was called Ruby Slippers, and in workshops and retreats I taught that our intuition was our own internal version of the ruby slippers – getting us to where we want to go (if we listen to it!). But this talk blew it all up for me. I had found the elixir!
I may as well have had a machete in my hand carving a holistic path in Toronto’s very traditional and rather conservative culture in the early 90’s.
Over the years I have been inspired by so many awesome women which has prompted me to launch Inspire Always. Inspire Always is a forum that highlights and features incredible women showing their strengths and struggles.
